Hands Across the Lake Quilting Guild

The Hands Across the Lake Quilt Guild is a community-focused group that meets on the first Monday of the monthe at 6:30pm, typically at the Big Stone Tabor Church in Big Stone City, SD. The group offers fellowship, shares quilting tips, works on projects, and welcomes visitors and new members interested in sewing and quilting.

Activities: Monthly meetings include sharing quilting techniques, “Unfinished Object” (UFO) updates, demonstrations (e.g., Disappearing Pinwheel), show ‘n tell, door prizes, and refreshments.

Purpose: The guild is described as a knowledgeable and fun group focusing on sharing, learning, and socializing through quilting.

Engagement: Occasionally holds meetings at alternative locations, such as Doucet Park.
